The Grand Lucayan resort in Grand Bahama has named Basil Dean its new executive chef.

Dean, a 30-year veteran of the industry, comes to the resort from the former Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in Nassau. His career has included stops at the Sandals Emerald Bay Resort in Exuma, the Breezes resort in Nassau and One & Only Ocean Club in Paradise Island, among others.

Dean will oversee all of the property’s restaurants, including Churchill’s and China Beach.

The property also announced that Quinton Rolle had been named assistant director of food and beverage.

Earlier this year, the property announced that noted Chef Gianfranco Chiarini had designed a new menu at the Churchill’s restaurant at the Grand Lucayan.
