Grenada Prime Minister Keith Mitchell Visits Barbados and Montreal

Grenada Prime Minister visited Barbados and Montreal, Canada this weekend, ahead of his visit to the CARICOM conference in St Vincent this week.

Mitchell visited Barbados on Friday to attend a meeting of the Regional Security System.

Following that trip, he departed for Montreal, where he was set to honour 50 years of community activism by Grenadian Gemma Raeburn-Baynes. Mitchell was to deliver the feature address at an event recognizing her on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

Mitchell will attend the CARICOM meeting on Monday in St Vincent before returning to Grenada on Tuesday.

Grenada Deputy Prime Minister Elvin Nimrod has been serving as Acting Prime Minister during Mitchell’s absence.
