Meet the Caribbean: St Kitts’ Southeast Peninsula in 7 Photos

You may not know about it, but the Southeast Peninsula of the island of St Kitts is a show-stopping stretch of green hills, winding roads and spectacular vistas. It’s also crucial to the island’s tourism hopes, as the epicentre of the Christophe Harbour development. The latest edition of Meet the Caribbean introduces it to you.

The Southeast Peninsula starts right near the famous Half Moon Bay in St Kitts, home to the island’s largest hotel, the St Kitts Marriott.

It’s a place dotted by a few houses, a few restaurants and some dramatic cliffs and hillsides.

It may seem foreign at first — rocky, raw, natural. And that’s precisely the point.

The Southeast peninsula is the fulcrum of the island’s new tourism hopes, with a Park Hyatt hotel project already in development as part of the larger Christophe Harbour development.

As you can see, the views are truly stunning.

Turtle Beach is a a quiet getaway, even by the standards of the peninsula.

See you in St Kitts!
