An extended festival in Martinique next month will be celebrating the work of female artists on the island.

The celebration is called “Quand l’art se fait femme.”

It will take place in the Agora business centre and the Hotel de Region administrative building in Fort-de-France, aims to “celebrate women by highlighting the creativity, talent, activities and artistic productions of women from all walks of Martinique,” according to the region’s government.

It will include a craft village, exhibitions, lectures, debates and musical performances as well.

This year will be the fourth edition of “Quand l’Art se fait Femme.”

The festival will be held in April.
