Our latest Meet the Caribbean travels to the historic city of Christiansted on the island of St Croix in the United States Virgin Islands. The onetime Danish town, which is among the more charming of its kind in the whole Caribbean, dates back almost 280 years.


Christiansted, which has a population of just under 3,000 people, is a colourful potpourri of narrow streets, brightly-hued buildings and historic nooks.
