The Caribbean’s Best Airport Lounges

Traveling can be stressful. And even when you’re returning from a likely very relaxing vacation to the Caribbean, you still want comfort, style and convenience — all the way to the gate at the airport. And you can find it all at many premium airport lounges in the Caribbean. While some of these lounges are included for certain cardholders and airline members, we made sure to include only lounges where you can pay a one-time fee to get in to. While prices tend to vary, the most you’ll pay is $50. Here are our favourites in the region.

Club Mobay — Sangster International Airport, Jamaica

Arguably the nicest of the region’s lounges, the kicker here is the expedited, personal escort through the airport security line. There’s not much like it anywhere in the Caribbean. And there’s even a small spa.

Graycliff Divans — Lynden Pindling International Airport — Nassau

Born from the renowned hotel and restaurant in Nassau, these lounges have both non-smoking and smoking lounges, with the latter home to the famous Graycliff cigars. Free Wi-Fi and a free cocktail with admission. It also has an outdoor lounge (pictured above).

VIP Flyers’ Club – Piarco International Airport — Port of Spain, Trinidad

This lounge has the most comfortable seats of any airport lounge in the Caribbean, a selection of premium liquors and strong Wi-Fi. Perhaps the best airport in the entire Caribbean. You might miss it though, as it’s right before security at the final departure terminal.

Admiral’s Club – Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport — San Juan, Puerto Rico

This is an oasis in the Caribbean’s largest regional hub. Modern, sleek and comfortable, with particularly good Wi-Fi. You can even take a shower.

Sala VIP Caribe — Las Americas — Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

This is one of the largest and best airports in the Caribbean, and the Sala VIP is a convenient stop before you head to the gate.

Club Kingston — Norman Manley International Airport, Kingston, Jamaica

A sister lounge to Club Mobay, Club Kingston offers the same amenities in a luxurious lounge in Jamaica’s capital.

Executive Lounge — Princess Juliana International Airport — St Maarten

A modern, albeit somewhat small lounge at one of the Caribbean’s nicest airports. Free Wi-Fi is included.

CAP — VIP Lounge — Curacao International Airport

Limited to 55 guests, the VIP lounge at Curacao’s main airport has flat-screen TVs, wine and beer and reading material.

VIP Lounge — Cancun Airport

One of the busiest airports in the Latin American and Caribbean region, Cancun is also home to a solid VIP lounge, with Wi-Fi, an open bar and even massage chairs.

VIP Lounges —Aeropuerto Internacional Reina Beatrix – Aruba

Note: this is only available for flights heading for the United States, but it’s well worth the cost of admission. There are actually two lounges at the airport.
