Dominica will be holding its “Nature Island Challenge” again in 2014.

The event, which was held for the first time in 2013, will take place from Apr. 7 to Apr. 11, and is now seeking teams for the event.

The competition sees team members alternate daily on 10-15-mile-long runs, along with a host of other challenges.

The Nature Island Challenge is all about fun survival challenges in a beautiful tropical setting,” said Colin Piper, Dominica’s director of tourism. “We created this race to be challenging but also fantastic fun for racers from around the world.”

Eight teams of four members will ultimately be selected to compete in the four-day race, which will cover more than 50 miles on the country’s Waitukubuli National Trail.

Last year’s Nature Island Challenge was featured on NBC’s World of Adventure Sports.
