St Maarten Prime Minister Sarah Wescot-Williams recently held talks with a visiting delegation from the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament Committee for Kingdom Relations.
The talks with the eight-member group took pace at her Cabinet on Friday. They focused on issues including items discussed with the Prime Minister during her visit to the Netherlands in November 2013.
The parliamentary team was visiting the Dutch Caribbean as part of an inter-Parliamentary consultation.
The delegation included Committee Chairman Jeroen Recourt, Committee Registrar Tim de Lange, Wassila Hachchi, André Bosman, Gert-Jan Segers, Roelof van Laar, Ronald van Raak.
Wescot-Williams said she sought in part to “ensure that the position of St Maarten is very well represented and that all misrepresentations are disputed.”
