A new entry to the Nassau scene, this fresh new Bahamian rum distillery has managed to carve out a niche with an on-site Happy Hour. Come to John Watling’s for truly good rum produced locally in the Bahamas.
Graycliff

The always-expanding Graycliff on West Hill Street added a new beer garden on property in 2012, just steps from its popular Brazilian and Italian eateries. HappyHour at the Humidor Piazza is on Fridays from 5 PM to 7:30.
The Green Parrot Bar
Right near the bridge between Nassau and Paradise Island, this longtime Paradise Island mainstay is an under-the-radar spot for low-key drinks and tasty appetizers (try the conch fritters).
The Fish Fry
Not just one bar or restaurant, but rather a collection of stops on the famous Arawak Cay. A great places for a late-afternoon Kalik or Sands beer and some fresh cracked conch.
Bullion
This elegant bar at the British Colonial Hilton is very popular with young professionals in Nassau, and with good reason. Our pick? Try the Goombay Smash — you probably won’t find a better one in the Bahamas. And Every Tuesday and Thursday, don’t miss local jazz musician Naomi Taylor, starting at 6:30.
Traveller’s Restaurant
Long one of our favourites in Nassau, Traveller’s has been an institution in New Providence for decades. Closer to the airport, it’s a world away from downtown (and the Happy Hour times are rather liberal). (Try the Banana Daiquiri).
