Parts of director Martin Scorsese’s new film, “The World of Wall Street,” were filmed and set in the Bahamas.

The film, which follows the rise and fall of former Wall Street money manager Jordan Belfort, shot several scenes in Nassau.

One major scene was the occasion of Belfort’s wedding, which was set at the One & Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island, while another was filmed at the marina at the Atlantis Resort, also on Paradise Island.

The Ocean Club is specifically mentioned in the film. “The Wolf of Wall Street” is the latest major film role for the Ocean Club, which famously featured in the James Bond Film “Casino Royale” starring Daniel Craig in 2006.

The latter included the Harborside residential villas as the backdrop.

The film was recently nominated for a Golden Globe in the best picture in the comedy or musical category.
