Cayman Cookout
World-renowned Chef Eric Ripert hosts this annual culinary extravaganza based at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman. Guests will include Jose Andres, Anthony Bourdain and others.

Curacao Carnival season
Caribbean carnival season kicks off with a bang at Curacao’s carnival. The Dutch Caribbean island’s carnival season officially begins on Jan. 4, with the festivities continuing all the way until March 4.
Caribbean Travel Marketplace
One of two major regional tourism gatherings on the Caribbean calendar, Caribbean Travel Marketplace is the place to be in the Caribbean tourism industry. This year’s event is being held at the Montego Bay Conention Centre.

St Barth Music Festival
The French Caribbean island’s signature music festival lasts from Jan. 14 to Feb. 2, with an eclectic mix of artists specializing in classical and jazz.
The Mount Gay Round Barbados Races Series 2014
You may have heard of the red hats — this is where you see them. The first race day starts on Jan. 17, with racing continuing through Friday Jan. 24, when the Barbados to Antigua Ocean Race begins. If you’re not actually sailing in it, it’s thrilling to watch.

Dominican Republic Bachata Festival
The Dominican Republic’s Bachata Festival is being held in Santo Domingo and Juan Dolio. The Santo Domingo portion lasts from Jan. 16 to Jan. 20, and the Juan Dolio portion lasts from Jan. 20 to Jan. 28. If you like Bachata, this is the place to be.
