Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors are now the Caribbean’s top-ranked football side, according to the year-end rankings from FIFA and Coca-Cola.

Trinidad is now ranked 78th in the world, one spot ahead of Haiti and two spots ahead of Jamaica.

It is the first time Trinidad and Tobago has qualified for the Caribbean lead in the FIFA/Coca-Cola Rankings this year.

Cuba, which had recently taken the regional lead, fell a whopping 53 spots to 100th in the world. It had risen by 27 spots in November’s rankings.

In the wider Caribbean basin, Venezuela was the top-ranked team, at 34th in the world, just ahead of Armenia.
