Montserrat has completed construction of the new ferry terminal at Little Bay, authorities announced this week.

The government said the newly-constructed terminal would be “completely functional in the near future.”

The project covers a total of 3,000 square feet, and will service both incoming and outgoing ferry passengers.

A ferry operates frequently between Montserrat and the neighbouring island of Antigua. During the Christmas season, the ferry is operating daily service.

The project began construction earlier in 2013.
