Trinidad and Tobago Energy Minister Kevin Ramnarine met this week with officials from the Inter-American Development Bank and the United States government to continue discussions that came out of the Caribbean Energy Ministerial Meeting in Washington last week.

Ramnarine, who was joined by Planning Minister Dr Bhoendradatt Tewarie, addressed issues involving sustainable energy and energy security in the Caribbean. The IDB was represented by President Luis Alberto Moreno.

On hand for the United States was Secretary of Energy Dr Ernest Moniz.

The two sides focused on the continued partnering of the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs with the IDB for “future projects,” according to a statement from the government.
