Ziggy Marley, Snoop Lion Among Nominees For Best Reggae Grammy

Snoop Lion and Ziggy Marley are among the contenders for the Best Reggae Album Grammy Award.
The Grammys released the official nominations this weekend, with Snoop Lion nominated for “Reincarnated,” Ziggy Marley nominated for “Ziggy Marley in Concert,” Sizzla nominated for “The Messiah,” Sly & Robbie and the Jam Masters for “Reggae Connection” and Beres Hammond for “One Love, One Life.”
Last year’s Best Reggae Album Grammy went to reggae legend Jimmy Cliff for his latest album, “Rebirth.”
This year marks the second straight nomination for Sly & Robbie and the Jam Masters, who were nominated last year for “New Legend — Jamaica 50th Edition.”
Snoop Lion, formerly Snoop Dogg, changed his name again to “Snoopzilla” earlier this eyar.
