Mount Gay may be the rum you think of when you think of Barbados, but we’re big fans of another Bajan product: Cockspur.
Barbados’ other rum is an excellent alternative to the “Rum That Invented Rum,” and it’s also great in a number of creative cocktails.
So take a trip to Barbados on this autumn Sunday afternoon with help from our friends at Cockspur, who share this recipe for a Cockspur Sunset Punch.
Here’s the recipe:
Ingredients
1.5 oz Cockspur Rum
3 oz Cockspur Rum Punch (don’t worry – if you can’t find it where you are, the rest of the ingredients do the job just fine)
1.5 oz orange juice
1.5 oz orange juice
1.5 oz pineapple juice
.5 oz mango puree
.5 oz strawberry puree
Directions:
Combine, shake and pour over ice.
Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
