A pair of local craft artisans from St Kitts and Nevis left the country Tuesday for a training programme in Taiwan.

Molly Imelda Byron and Randy Thomas, both of the St Kitts Craft House, will spend three weeks in Taiwan spending time with local artisans and improving their skills in pottery, leather craft, ceramics and quality control.

The trip is made possible by the support of the Embassy of Taiwan in St Kitts and Nevis.

Austin Weekes, general manager of the Craft House, said the training would help to improve the qualify of projects being offered to shoppers in St Kitts and Nevis.

The two artisans will be returning to the Craft House on Oct. 25.
