Ministers of Environment and Sustainable Development from the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States will meet in Anguilla next week.

The meeting is the seventeenth annual conference of Environment Ministers from the region.

Bentley Browne, director of social and sustainable development at the OECS Secretariat and Jerome Roberts, Anguilla’s recently-appointed Minister of Home Affairs and Natural Resources will address the event.

Roberts will also act as chair.

“This is important for the people of Anguilla, as it provides an opportunity for us to share environmental concerns and achievements in sustainable development, habitat mapping, and results of our recently conducted eco-system assessments,” Anguilla’s Department of Environment said in a statement.

OECS officials said all Member States will be represented at this year’s meeting.
