Haiti President Michel Martelly received the credentials of three new Ambassadors to the country on Friday.
The new envoys are Peru’s Enrique Alejandro Palacio Reyes, Australia’s Ross William Tysoe and El Salvador’s Carlos Alberto Calles.
Tyose is also Australia’s High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago. Haiti is part of his non-resident portfolio. Calles is also El Salvador’s Ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
The new Ambassadors “reiterated the commitment of their countries” to supporting Haiti, according to a government statement.
Martelly assured them of his “willingness to work to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Haiti and their countries,” the National Palace said.
