After months of constant leapfrogging, Haiti and Jamaica are now tied in the race to be the Caribbean’s top-ranked side, according to the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
Haiti’s Les Grenadiers and Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz are both ranked 78th in the world, just ahead of Belarus and Uganda and just behind Guinea and Togo.
Both squads have struggled of late, particularly Jamaica, which has seen its once-promising World Cup hopes done in by a series of poor showings in World Cup qualifying matches.
Trinidad and Tobago is the next-highest-ranked side, at 85th in the world, just ahead of Northern Ireland.
The next Caribbean team after that is Antigua and Barbuda, which is ranked 111th in the world.
