Haiti Prime Minister is in the midst of a European tour, having concluded his trip to Paris and begun a visit to Brussels.

Lamothe began the first day of his working visit to France in Paris on Wednesday.

Lamothe spent Tuesday giving interviews to French media outlets including France 24 and attending a reception held in his honour at the the Maison de l’Amerique Latine.

Earlier in the day, he met with Guadeloupe native George Pau-Langevin, who chairs the France-Haiti Friendship Group in France’s National Assembly.

The Prime Minister gave a presentation there on the reconstruction efforts in HAiti, and what he called in a statement his “desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with France.”

That cooperation could come in the areas of education, culture and the French language, according to a release from Lamothe’s office.

On Wednesday, Lamothe continued his pitch for foreign investment in Haiti, traveling to Brussels for talks with Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders and European Council President Herman Van Rompuy.

He followed that up with another investment presentation to a group of Belgian businessmen.
