The island of Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands is known for a lot of things. But, in our opinion, its culinary excellence is a bit underrated (though that’s starting to change). Coupled with some marvelous hotel properties, it makes the island a wonderful place to stay and to eat. So we thought we’d put together of six great hotel restaurants on Provo. What’s your favourite? Tell us in the comments section.
Seven — Seven Stars Resort
Another great example of the way chefs on Providenciales are blending local fare and international recipes. (Can you go wrong with Vanilla-Rum Butter Poached Caicos Lobster?)
Grace’s Cottage, Point Grace Resort
Located at the Point Grace resort, Grace’s Cottage is a fine-dining outpost with a mix of Caribbean and European fare.
Anacaona – Grace Bay Club
You’re right on the ocean, eating some of the finest food in the archipelago, your table covered by a thatched roof. Anacaona is an experience — don’t miss it.
O’Soleil at The Somerset
Another of a number of top-notch hotel eateries in Turks and Caicos, O’Soleil is the fine-dining flagship of the Somerset on Grace Bay.
Hemingway’s Restaurant — The Sands at Grace Bay
Grace Bay Beach. Local food. An Ernest Hemingway theme. Need we say more?
Stelle Restaurant — Gansevoort Turks and Caicos
The primary restaurant at the Gansevoort on Grace Bay Beach, Chef Matthew Doemer’s Stelle is great for al fresco, chic dining near the pool.
