St Kitts’ Kittitian Hill project is on track for a late December “soft opening,” according to Tourism Minister Ricky Skerritt.

The project announced earlier this summer that it would be opening its first phase at the end of this year.

The first phase is slated to include a boutique hotel called Belle Mont Farm, which will be located within the property’s 400-acre tropical fruit farm.

The hotel, which will be managed by Sedona Resorts, will open with 35 rooms and then expand over the course of the season to 85 by the next season.

“Let me just say these are 35 high-end rooms,” Skerritt said in a radio interview. “I mean the daily rental rate is going to be at the Four Seasons level to use that as a standard.”
Skerritt said Sedona had already opened an office in St Kitts to prepare for the opening.

“It will be a relatively small, soft opening as they go through the process of training and establishing their standards and they are in the process of early interviews with the possibility of hiring their local team,” he said.
