Usain Bolt’s historic summer just keeps getting better.

Trelawny’s Bolt continued his brilliance on the track Thursday in Zurich, claiming victory in the 100M with a time of 9.9 seconds.

It was his first race since earning three gold medals with a stellar performance at the World Championships in Moscow.

Bolt’s time, despite a very slow start, was enough to beat countryman and rising star Nickel Ashmeade, who finished in 9.94 seconds.

America’s Justin Gatlin finished third, with a time of 9.96 seconds.

It’s been a banner year for Bolt, the two-time defending Olympic champion in the 100M and 200M and current World Champion in the same two races.

Earlier this week, Bolt said he planned to defend all of these titles at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
