The former Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall in Jamaica’s Montego Bay will soon become a Hyatt.

Hyatt Ziva, which will focus on families, is one of a series of all-inclusive resorts the company will be opening through its newly-formed Playa company.

The Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall will open in early 2014, while two others, the Hyatt Zilara Cancun and the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, will open in Mexico in the fourth quarter of this year.

The Hyatt Zilara brand will focus on adults.

“We are excited to add two brands that will help to create another way for our guests to experience Hyatt,” said Chris Walker, vice president, brand experience, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, in a release. “We are currently working with guests, especially our Hyatt Gold Passport members, to design a differentiated all-inclusive experience. We look forward to infusing Hyatt’s authentic hospitality, meetings and event acumen and food and beverage expertise into these brands.”

Hyatt invested in the Playa Hotels & Resorts company earlier this year as part of a plan to increase its all-inclusive portfolio in the region. Playa purchased the former Ritz-Carlton at the end of the spring.

It closed the deal on that investment earlier this month.
