At a New Aruba Eatery, An Emphasis on the Organic

A new restaurant on Aruba’s Eagle Beach has debuted with one primary focus: natural and organic cuisine.

The eatery, Elements, is located at the Bucuti & Tara Resorts in Aruba, with a combination of indoor and outdoor space, with the latter including an oceanfront deck.

And it’s main mission is clean living — driven by what Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts owner Ewald Biemans called continuously increasing demand from customers.

“As our guests began pursuing healthier lifestyles, we began receiving more and more requests for options that were vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free,” Biemans said. “Our commitment to meeting the needs of guests, combined with the passion and talent of our executive chef, Kurt Hoffman, culminated in Elements.”

The resort, which was recently named one of the 10 greenest in the Caribbean by Caribbean Journal, said the new restaurant would include three separate menus: world cuisine, organic and natural and vegan and vegetarian.

With what the property called a “limited amount of fresh products” available in Aruba, one of the Caribbean’s drier islands, it said it had secured an import company to obtain the organic products.

“Not only are we confident that we will please our guests, but we are also proud to showcase the restaurant as an extension of our sustainability practices,” Biemans said.
