Guyana Tourism Minister Mohamed Irfaan Ali led talks last week with Caribbean Airlines’ Executive Team, in a bid to address “key and critical issues.”

The discussions included issues such as customer service, in-transit process and security checks of Guyanese passengers, according to a government release.

Ali was joined by Tourism Minister Robeson Benn, private sector representatives, airport officials and a Caribbean Airlines team led by Chairman of the Board Philip Marshall and Acting CEO Jagmohan Singh.

Marshall said “the people of Guyana are the important to the heartbeat of Caribbean Airlines,” pledging a willingness to “forge new partnerships.”

Marshall also said that CAL would “continue to build improved partnerships” with Guyanese travelers, and the Trinidad-based company would be reviewing its current price structure “so that all customers can benefit.”
