Trinidad’s Jehue Gordon took home the gold in the men’s 400M hurdles on Thursday at the World Championships in Moscow.

Gordon finished in 47.69, the fastest time by anyone this year, followed by the United States’ Michael Tinsley, who finished in 47.70 and Emir Bkeric of Serbia, who finished in 48.05. The latter was a Serbian national record.

Cuba’s Omar Cisneros finished four, with a time of 48.12 seconds.

The 21-year-old rising star won gold in the 400M Hurdles at the World Junior Championships in Moncton in 2010. He finished sixth in the 400M Hurdles at the Olympic Games in London last summer.

He is also a former CARIFTA Junior Champion.
