Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Warriors stunned favourite Honduras Monday night with a 2-0 shutout victory.

The Soca Warriors’ Kenwyne Jones scored a goal in the 48th minute on a penalty and Kevin Molino followed it up with a goal in the 67th minute.

While Honduras held possession for 54 percent of the game, Trinidad outshot the Hondurans by 16 to 10, and Honduras managed just one shot on goal out of 10 shots total.

The win means Trinidad will advance to the Gold Cup quarterfinals, while Haiti, which defeated the Soca Warriors in Miami last week, will not.

Trinidad will face Mexico at the Georgia Dome this weekend in the first knockout round.
