The Baha Mar resort project in the Bahamas has named the general managers for its Rosewood, Grand Hyatt and Mondrian hotels.

Luis Fernandes, formerly of the Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, has been named general manager of the Rosewood at Baha Mar; Hyatt veteran Greg Saunders will be the general manager of the Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar, while Cate Farmer has been appointed general manager of Mondrian at Baha Mar.

“These talented new leaders of the senior management team at Baha Mar have a wealth of experience and a great deal of passion for their brands and the hospitality industry,” said Tom Dunlap, President of Baha Mar, in a release. “They are a perfect fit with the Baha Mar brand and will be critical to shaping a world-class guest experience not only at their respective hotels, but also across the entire resort.”

The property, the largest resort project in the Caribbean, is expected to debut in December 2014.

The Grand Hyatt said it had already booked its first convention groups for the hotel’s launch.

The project will include a total of 2,200 hotel rooms on Nassau’s Cable Beach.
