New French Ambassador in Haiti

France’s new Ambassador to Haiti, Patrick Nicoloso, arrived in Haiti on Sunday.

Nicoloso was appointed as the country’s new envoy to Haiti in a decree published on May 24.

He succeeds former French Ambassador Didier Le Bret, who had served in Haiti since 2009. Le Bret is now the director of the Crisis Centre of French’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His diplomatic career has included stops in Libya, Italy, Brazil and Jordan, among other posts.

He was most recently France’s Ambassador in Sudan.
