Jamaica’s Usain Bolt glided to victory after a relatively slow start in the 100M Friday at Jamaica’s senior senior trials in Kingston.

Bolt finished in 9.94 after finishing second in the semi-finals with a time of 10.03 seconds at the National Stadium.

He was followed by Kemar Bailey-Cole and Nickel Ashmeade.

Nester Carter finished fourth, despite finishing the semi-final in 9.97, a time which would have put him in second in the finals.

The trials, which are held by the Jamaica Athletic Administrative Association, are the qualifiers for this year’s World Championships, which will take place in Moscow.

Asafa Powell, who won gold for Jamaica in the men’s 4×100 relay in Beijing, failed to qualify, finished seventh.
