Seven-time Olympic medalist Veronica Campbell-Brown has reportedly tested positive for a banned substance.

The test was conducted by the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission during the May 4 Jamaica Invitational. That test was conducted under the supervision of an International Association of Athletics Federations Doping Representative.

In a statement, Jamaican Sports Minister Natalie Neita Headley said the government was “aware of the adverse analytical finding of one of our national athletes.”

“The IAAF is continuing to conduct its results management procedures in accordance with its rules,” she said. “We await the outcome of the due process.”

The Minister said Jamaica was “committed to our Anti-Doping programme and the preservation of integrity in sport.”

The 31-year-old Campbell-Brown, a three-time gold medalist, reportedly tested positive for a banned diuretic.
