A 4.3-magnitude earthquake off the coast of St Kitts and Nevis caused light shaking in the Eastern Caribbean, particularly St Maarten, early Wednesday morning.
The quake, which occurred at around 12:26 AM local time, struck about 7 kilometres west of Charlestown, Nevis and 17 kilometres south-southeast of Basseterre, St Kitts.
The quake was at a depth of 119 kilometres.
It was felt as far away as Puerto Rico and Guadeloupe. Shaking was also felt in Anguilla and St Barth.
No damage or injuries were reported.
