Second Earthquake in Two Days Shakes Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico

The Dominican Republic was shaken by an earthquake on Saturday morning for the second time in two days.

The 4.4-magnitude quake occurred at around 12:48 AM at a depth of 23 kilometres.

It struck around 87 kilometres north-northeast of Punta Cana and about 212 kilometres east-northeast of the capital, Santo Domningo.

It caused weak shaking both in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.

There were no reports of any damage or injuries.
