Cuba Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla continued his three-day visit to India Monday by holding talks with Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari.

In a statement, Cuba’s government called the talks “warm and friendly.”

Parrilla is also planning to hold a meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid during his visit this week.

The two sides identified several areas of potential cooperation, including agriculture, pharmaceuticals and tourism.

They also explored the possibilities of increased trade ties between India and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, which Cuba is currently chairing.
