Grenada Foreign Minister Meets With New Chinese Ambassador

Grenada Foreign Minister Nickolas Steele met last week with Madam Ou Boqian, China’s new Ambassador to Grenada.

Steele received the credentials of Ou, who said she would work on “strengthening the bilateral relationship that exists between Grenada and the People’s Republic of China.”

Ou is succeeding Ambassador Xu Jianguo in the role.

China has been funding a number of projects in Grenada, recently announcing $31.5 million in funding for a stadium project.

Grenada recently named Karl Hood, the country’s former Foreign Minister, as its new Ambassador to China.
