Grenada Foreign Minister Nickolas Steele received the credentials of new Venezuelan Ambassador-Designate Jorge Alfonzo Guerrero Veloz in St George’s this week.
The two sides held brief talks on ways to “foster an even stronger and deeper bilateral relationship,” according to a government release.
Guerrero will soon formally present his credentials to new Grenada Governor General Dr Cecile La Grenada.
Veloz succeeds Carlos Perez as Venezuela’s envoy in Grenada.
Venezuela has been funding a series of infrastructure projects in Grenada over the last few years, including the new Ford Bridge in St Andrew.
