A group of National Football League Players will tackle a different sport when they participate in a soccer exhibition in Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince.

NFL players Ronnie Cameron, Drayton Florence, Jr, Akin Ayodele, Corey Chavous and Barrett Green will take part in an exhibition that is part of an international road safety campaign aimed at lowering traffic deaths among young people.

The group will be accompanied by Jack Brewer, a former player for four NFL teams, whose foundation supports development programmes in underprivileged communities.

Thursday’s game is being supported by the Inter-American Development Bank’s Youth Unit as part of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.

Haiti does not have national statistics on traffic fatalities, although the country has had several high-profile traffic crashes in recent years.
