PUNTA CANA — The Royalton Punta Cana Resort & Casino and Memories Splash resorts are set to open on Nov. 9, according to Todd Kirlik, director of sales and marketing for the US and Canada at Blue Diamond Hotels & Resorts.

BlueDiamond is the hotel division of Canadian travel company Sunwing.

The adjacent properties in the Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana region will combine for 1,005 rooms, with 460 rooms in the Royalton and 545 in the Memories Splash, Kirlik said.

Both will be all-inclusive resorts located on Bavaro Beach.

The properties are part of an expansion for BlueDiamond in the Caribbean; earlier this month, the firm announced that it had acquired the Breezes Negril Grand Resort & Spa in Jamaica.

A Memories-branded property is slated to open in Grand Bahama later this year.
