Haiti’s Interministerial Commission on Investment has approved a $9 million hotel project in Tabarre.

The 84-unit Monte Cristo Hotel & Suites, which is the brainchild of developer-investor Donald Max Guillaume, will be located on the road to Tabarre.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, the first phase will see 47 rooms completed.

By its final phase, the property will have 84 rooms, including six suites and two rooms for disabled guests.

The hotel will also have a conference room, a swimming pool, and outdoor bar and a nightclub.

The total investment amounts to around $9 million dollars, providing what the Ministry said will be 100 direct jobs.
