Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe met Tuesday with Mexico’s Ambassador to Haiti, Luis Manuel Lopez Moreno, in Lamothe’s private residence.
Lopez was joined at the meeting by Gonzalez Ruera, executive director of CEMEX, the Mexican cement and concrete manufacturer.
The meeting, which was also attended by Haiti Finance Minister Marie Carmelle Jean-Marie and Secretary of State for Public Works Philippe Cineas, covered topics including the construction of a hospital in Ouanaminthe, the electrification of a hospital in Gonaives and the construction of several new government buildings.
Lamothe said he was committed to strengthening cooperation between Haiti and Mexico, which have been enhancing their ties over the last few years, particularly in the area of tourism.
