A 4.6-magnitude earthquake off the northern coast of Venezuela shook parts of Trinidad and Grenada early Saturday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake, which occurred at around 2:21 AM local time, was 35 kilometres north of Gueiria, Venezuela, was about 88 kilometres west-northwest of Port of Spain.

It struck at a depth of 107.5 kilometres.

Light shaking was felt in parts of western Trinidad, across Grenada and particularly on Grenada’s island of Carriacou.
