Six Senses Hotel Resorts Spas will open two new properties in the Caribbean, it announced in a press release.

The company is currently developing properties in St Lucia and the Dominican Republic, two of three planned properties that will mark the company’s Western Hemisphere debut.

All are scheduled for completion by 2016.

The company currently operates a Six Senses Spa at the Puntacana Resort and Club.

Six Senses recently hired Neil Jacobs as the company’s Chief Exectuive Officer, the former president of Starwood Capital’s hotel unit.

“Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is positioned for exciting growth into new markets, reaching new audiences and creating new experiences for our guests,” Jacobs said in a statement. “There is a strong and organic emphasis at Six Senses to our commitment to sustainability.  It is part of the brand DNA and influences aspects of the business ranging from materials used in daily operations to how we engage with the local community.”

The company also said it would soon unveil a new “visual brand,” to be introduced in March.
