Four-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson visited Trinidad and Tobago last week.
The American sports legend presented on a series of training programmes offered by his Michael Johnson Performance company, along with the importance of coach development.
Johnson held talks with Trinidad Sports Minister Anil Roberts, discussing the need to improve the “standard and quality” of coaching in the country.
The two sides discussed the possibility of Michael Johnson Performance setting up one of their high-performance centres in Trinidad and Tobago, or finding an alternative arrangement by which MJP experts would regularly visit and work with local coaches and athletes.
