Taiwan Foreign Minister David Yung-lo Lin arrived in St Kitts Saturday for an official visit to the twin-island federation, following a trip to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Taiwanese envoy arrived at Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw Saturday, welcomed by a delegation including Patrice Nisbett, Chief Secretary Elvis Newton, Cabinet Secretary J Llewellyn Edmeade, and Taiwan’s resident Ambassador Miguel Tsao.
Taiwan has been supporting a number of projects in St Kitts and Nevis, including a recent push to install solar lighting on highways in St Kitts.
The Foreign Minister will be in St Kitts and Nevis until Feb. 4. He will hold talks with Governor General Sir Edmund Wickham, Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas and the “new Minister of Foreign Affairs,” the government said.
The country has not yet named a successor to Sam Condor, who resigned as Foreign Minister last week.
