Josette Darguste, the former Director General of Haiti’s Ministry of Tourism, has been officially sworn in as the country’s new Culture Minister.
Darguste was one of several new ministers entering Haiti’s Cabinet following a reshuffle by Haiti Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe earlier this week.
She had been named Director General of the Ministry in July, after having previously served as its Director of Public Relations. Her successor at the Ministry of Tourism has not yet been named.
Darguste succeeds former Haiti Culture Minister Mario Dupuy.
