Guyana is reportedly looking to establish a relationship with the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.

The country is currently hosting a medical delegation from the hospital for a five-day visit and an overview of the country’s health facilities.

The collaboration would primarily involve improvements in local clinical care, according to a government release.

Dr Irv Chan gave a presentation to the team on Guyana’s Health Vision 2013-2020, covering areas including strengthening the healthcare workforce, health literacy and non-communicable diseases.
