St Kitts and Nevis will be unveiling the next phase of solar lights in the country on the island’s main road between Sandy Point and St Paul’s.
Nearly 120 lights are being installed in the area thanks to a partnership between the governments of St Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan.
They are similar to those already installed along Kim Collins Highway and the stretch of road near the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
Taiwnese firm Speedtech Energy is supervising the installation of the lights, which are reportedly able to withstand wind speeds of up to 250 kilometres per hour.
Taiwan has been supporting a number of green energy projects in St Kitts, including installing solar power at government headquarters in Basseterre.
