Grand Pineapple Beach Negril Reopens

Jamaica’s Grand Pineapple Beach Negril celebrated its reopening earlier this week.

Parent company Sandals Resorts International had initially announced plans to close the resort in August, until changing course.

Sandals Chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart cited the response by guests to the closure as a factor.

“We haver heard the voices of our devoted guests and are thrilled to reopen Grand Pineapple Beach Negril,” he said in a release. “Our guests’ satisfaction is our utmost priority and we take their requests seriously. It is with that in mind that we decided to preserve this charming Caribbean resort that serves a niche clientele looking for value without compromising quality.”

The 65-room resort is located on Negril’s seven-mile-long beach.

Sandals also operates a Grand Pineapple in Antigua.
